Family Parks

Ecommerce Tourism Website Design

Project Management, Visual Design Support, User Experience Design, Technical planning & Scope Development

We had the privilege of designing the brand (and website) for Family Parks and managing it’s roll out across the corporate identity, membership platform, and individual holiday park’s across both countries a few years ago.

Recently, Family Parks engaged us again to help project manage the design, function, and scope for their new website as they move to integrate their public website with their back end booking system (being designed by the booking agent).

Milk have been on hand to:
– develop the project scope and documentation for tendering
– provide design support to ensure the front end of the new site is ‘on brand’
– ensure the perfect balance between function and visual identity (design vs function and form)
– liaise between the developers and the client to ensure a timely build and project remains on schedule

Finding the perfect balance between form & function, visual brand consistency, and user experience, can be a tricky one when you’re building new websites.

It’s always really important to consider the end user as well, which is why we helped design something a little bit fun and upbeat with the colours and imagery. (While keeping it fresh and crisp with the heavy data ‘below the fold’ so it doesn’t date!)

After all, the travellers who use the site are on or planning a holiday, and should be reminded to enjoy themselves – even when doing the boring bits – like booking!
